We are looking for a creative, responsible, and experienced teacher/assistant to support our high school student, who has physical and speech disabilities, in academic courses. We are especially interested in applicants who have experience working with students with disabilities as a teacher, aide, paraprofessional, or behavior therapist.

Position requires up to date vaccinations, boosters, TB test, and COVID testing as required.

Hours are start betwen 8-9:30 weekdays and finish between 2:30-5, depending on the day/schedule of classes. The total number of hours will be approximately 35/week.

Duties:

· Supporting student during classes, homework, and some personal care needs (dressing, feeding, and toileting)

· Taking notes during classes, documenting assignments, maintaining daily communication with teachers, therapists, and parents

· Assisting in therapy sessions; practicing skills between therapy sessions

· Developing independence

· Participate in meetings, trainings, and special activities

· Maintain functional organization of classroom materials and work space

· Maintain constant supervision and ensure student’s safety at all times

· Be a companion during free time, fun activities, games, exercise, and peer/community experiences

· Administer medications as required

· Other job duties as required

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $32.00 – $36.00 per hour
