Position Summary
We are seeking two College Success & Career Coaches!
Position 1: OMIC Center, Scappoose, OR – General Funded Position
Position 2: Sylvania Campus – Grant Funded (continuation of this position is dependent upon annual renewal of funding).
One position will be located at the OMIC Training Center in Scappoose Oregon. This position will be part of two dynamic teams, the OMIC Training Center team and the Career Pathways & STEP team. The position will serve as an ambassador to the community, helping navigate and access OMIC and PCC educational opportunities and resources. OMIC is a collaborative model that brings together industry, academia, workforce, and government to foster innovation and strengthen the manufacturing industry through applied research and advanced technical training.
The other position will be located at Sylvania campus. Career Pathways & STEP programs support students’ entrance and progress in their career pathways– adult basic skills programs to stackable credentials to Career and Technical Education (CTE) degrees, we help students meet their goals. Additionally, as part of the college’s STEP grant, we focus on increasing resources, college completion, and career opportunities for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) recipients at PCC. This position is grant funded.
For the OMIC Training Coach it is important to know that OMIC Training is the college’s first physical location in Columbia County, and it will serve as an important entry point for Columbia County students as well as industry and community partners to engage with Portland Community College–both within and beyond the context of advanced manufacturing. For candidates who are interested in this position, a familiarity and understanding of the community and manufacturing industry are a plus.

Minimum Qualifications
To be considered, your application must demonstrate these minimum qualifications. (Experience is calculated based on the start and end dates you provide multiplied by the number of hours per week worked).
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business
Administration, Social Science, Communications, or related field (experience performing the duties of this job may substitute for the
degree requirement on a year-for-year basis).
Experience in case management in a social service or educational setting (“Case Management” is work with students/clients over time as they navigate a system. It includes individual guidance, assessment, and reporting).
Demonstrated experience working with college students, clients who
have barriers in achieving self sufficiency, developmentally or
physically disabled adults, or at-risk populations.
Demonstrated
experience within area of specialization of position applied for.
Experience in case management in a social service or educational
setting.

Starting Salary Expectations
The first two steps of the range are: $50,200 to $53,777 per year. Higher salary placement may be available based on qualifications, experience and internal equity.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is typically performed in an office environment. Incumbents
regularly drive to business sites which requires the use of a personal
vehicle. Occasional evening and weekend hours is required.
