This position will provide administrative support to the Director and provide similar assistance supporting daily operations for the collective teams under the direction of the Director. The Program Specialist (PS) tracks all budgets, payroll, hiring, and employment for these programs. The PS helps with programming events on campus including logistics (purchases, room, AV, and food), supports student leadership training, responds to student inquiries, oversees assigned projects, coordinates travel for staff and students, and works with accounts payable and payroll to contract and pay vendors.
This position will be designated “on-site flex” working four days a week onsite and one day remote. The PS will have 1-2 primary campus locations (TBD) with occasional travel across the PCC Service District.

Minimum Qualifications

Positions in this classification typically require a blend of administrative experience, including expertise with technological resources, and experience or training related to the program or service to which assigned.
A typical way to meet these requirements would be an Associate’s degree or equivalent units and two years of responsible experience related to the program area of assignment. Experience may substitute for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Additionally, PCC provides a tuition waiver for yourself, domestic partner, and dependent children under 24 years of age. Partial tuition reimbursement for yourself at other accredited institutions (full-time employees only).
Paid Leave: (Pro-rated by FTE for Part-Time Employees)
– Starts at 8 hours of vacation leave per month (additional vacation hours with years of service)

– 24 hours of additional personal leave days per year – 11 Paid holidays

Work is typically performed in a standard office environment and exposure to video display terminals occurs on a regular basis. Duties typically involve managing multiple priorities, handling interruptions, deadlines and other work pressures. Some positions may require local and long distance travel and the use of a personal vehicle.
Learned physical skill is required for keyboarding and ten-key functions. Occasional lifting, guiding and/or carrying of light weight materials and equipment.
