Minimum Qualifications

ORThe Program Dean, in collaboration with the Faculty Department Chair, will make a recommendation to the Pathway Dean regarding the following elements of evidence of Demonstrated Competency, such as:3 years full-time experience in multimedia or related field, e.g., programmer, producer, internet developer, project manager, interactive technical writer; and/or,3 years full-time higher education multimedia teaching experience, or 5 years higher education teaching experience using multimedia in instruction; and/or,Portfolio that demonstrates mastery of the multimedia subject area; and/or,Bachelor’s degree or higher (not in multimedia or multimedia-related field);3 years experience delivering training in multimedia or related field and/or,Certificate in Multimedia from an accredited institutionSuccess Criteria: These qualifications, skills and abilities are critical for success in this position and will be utilized and reviewed throughout the hiring process. Please address your abilities and experience in your cover letter.Ability to teach a range of Multimedia/Video Production & Emerging Media courses from our catalog: https://www.pcc.edu/ccog/mm/Experience and/or ability to assist with developing curricula in any of the following areas: Video Production, Multimedia, Motion Graphics and Animation, and Interactive Media.Ability to assist with supporting equipment use, studio lab, and post production facilities.Experience with students from diverse backgrounds, including students of color, LGBTQ+ students, first-generation college students, and students with disabilities.Ability to contextualize digital media within broader social, cultural, and technological fields.Ability to consider the equitable design of user experience.

Initial Salary Placement will be between Step 1 ($64,562) and Step 3 ($68,491) based on related experience, per PCC’s collective bargaining agreement.

PCC currently funds the Oregon Public Employees Retirement System (PERS/OPSRP) pension and contributes an additional 6% into the employee’s Individual Account Program under PERS/OPSRP. A portion of the 6% will be diverted to The Employee Pension Stability Account as mandated by Senate Bill 1049. PCC offers a tax deferred annuity program and a deferred compensation program where employees may save additional pre-tax dollars for retirement.
Additionally, PCC provides a tuition waiver for courses offered at PCC for yourself, domestic partner, and dependent children under 24 years of age; plus partial tuition reimbursement for yourself at other accredited institutions.
