We seek a HR Manager to partner with leadership at two of our Ott Scientific sites, Bangs Laboratories and Ethos Biosciences, total of 70 employees. Bangs Laboratories experience in microsphere synthesis and fine particle analysis have established us as a leading manufacturer of polymer, silica and magnetic microspheres for diagnostic, research, and flow cytometry applications. Ethos Biosciences offers products and services through American Bionostica for lateral flow products, Astral Diagnostics for histology and hematology stains and reagents, Astral Rx for pharmaceutical formulations, and Exocell for research and clinical nephrology assays.

This roll will handle talent acquisition, performance management, talent development, communication, payroll, HR compliance, and onboarding for these two sites. The HRM will report to the President of Bangs and have a dotted line to the Executive Director of HR.

What You Will Do

• Serve as an HR advisor, coach and partner with leaders and management for site locations
• Talent acquisition for affiliates including job development and posting, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, references, offers, and onboarding
• Performance Management for including performance discussions, goal setting, new hire and annual reviews, and employee engagement.
• Talent Development by identifying and implementing training and development activities.
• Manage and resolve employee issues, conduct objective investigations and recommendations for resolution
• Process biweekly payroll and reporting
• Provide guidance on federal, state and local employment, wage and salary laws and regulations
• Position will entail working onsite at our Fishers, IN location with regular visits to our West Deptford, NJ site every 4-6 weeks

What You Bring

• A minimum of 7 years of progressive, professional HR experience partnering with business management
• Expertise with benefit programs and compliance is an absolute must
• Demonstrated professionalism in working with a wide range of sensitive and confidential issues
• Track record of establishing productive partnerships with all levels of employees and management, demonstrating ability to persuade, negotiate, and communicate effectively
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal and the ability to present to all levels of the organization, in large and small groups
• Strong teamwork, leadership, problem solving and resolution skills a must.
• Familiarity with HCMS is a must (we use Paycom).
• Knowledge of federal and state and local-level employment practices and specific familiarity with COBRA, FLMA, ADA, Title VII, Affirmative Action, and other regulations
• Bachelors degree in HR, business, or a related field preferred
• SHRM-CP or PHR certification also strongly preferred
• Microsoft Office proficiency, especially Excel (Pivot Tables & V-Lookup)
