POSITION SUMMARY
The Shop Hand/ Yard Assistant position supports general service and sales activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Basic mechanic duties such as equipment assemblies & PDIs
· Loading and unloading trucks, trailers and shipments
· Washing and general prep of retail sales equipment
· Moving equipment/materials in and out of shop
· Keeping yard, shop, and parts inventory clean and organized
· Completing local parts runs and deliveries
· General maintenance activities including snow removal, sanding and cleaning as needed
· Shop cleaning as needed
· Trailer and truck washes
· Assist with inventory control
· Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
· 18 years of age or older
· High school diploma or GED preferred
· Equipment and fork-lift operational experience is a plus
· Past mechanical experience is a plus but not a requirement
· Dependable team player with a positive attitude
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

JOB REQUIREMENTS
· Must be able to work 40+ hrs per week
· Must be able to work a rotating Saturday schedule in the summer
· Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
· Must be able to pass a drug test
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Employees must be able to lift at least 30-45 pounds on a regular basis and be able to stand for long periods of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is sometimes exposed to weather conditions. Employee will be exposed to oils and general shop materials during daily activities. Company uniforms and PPE will be supplied as necessary.
