Flexible Telehealth Opportunity for Veterinary Nurses

Our aim at Petari VetCare is to be the go-to veterinary medicine provider for pet parents by offering a truly integrative care approach from virtual clinic (telehealth) services to future general and urgent care in-clinic services; along with ancillary services such as online pharmacy, client education modules, and patient care plans.

We are currently searching for credentialed veterinary nurses to join our innovative healthcare team by providing chat and video support for pet parents in Massachusetts through education and “decision support.”

Our team of Veterinary Telehealth Experts will:

• Be remote and work from your home with flexible weekday and weekend availability. Ideally be available to work a minimum of 3-4 shifts per week. Shift duration is generally restricted to no more than 4 hours per day to help support work-life balance.
• Communicate with pet parents via live chat in our proprietary app guiding them towards the most appropriate care for their cherished pets.
• Perform onboarding video appointments with new pet parents and new patients to create a relationship with Petari.
• Perform wellness video consults for healthy patients to discuss topics including diet, behavior, training, etc.
• Escalate patients to the Doctor team and provide support to Doctors during sick video consults.
• Help build processes and procedures that will become the gold standard for a new industry that is emerging for veterinary support.

Job requirements include:

• Active Vet Tech License / Certification (CVT, LVT or RVT)
• A Veterinary Technology associates or bachelor’s degree from a NAVTA and/or AVMA-CVTEA accredited program, or equivalent is required.
• At least 3 years of small animal veterinary experience.
• Must have proficient computer skills as this will require interacting with pet parents and Petari team members remotely through online platforms and documenting records via our computer software program.
• Have a designated working space that is quiet and free from disruptions.
• Access to a computer with high-speed internet and additional back up WiFi via hotspot.
• Has exemplary listening and problem-solving skills, and ability to multitask.
• Comfortable collaborating with an innovative, forward-thinking team and working in a team-oriented environment.
• Passionate about helping people and pets with empathy and excellent customer service focus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable in a fast paced, self-starter environment.
• The willingness to continue learning and embraces curiosity.
