The faculty will be responsible for educational leadership, student instruction, and student advising in the Welding program.
They will instruct and evaluate student performance in one or more of the following welding areas: Oxyfuel Welding & Cutting, Shielded Metal Arc Welding, Gas Metal Arc Welding, Gas Tungsten Arc Welding, and Flux Cored Arc Welding.

Qualifications
Education:
-Bachelor’s Degree in Welding Engineering, Welding Technology, or closely related discipline. (Minimum).
-Master’s or Ph.D. in Engineering, Education, or closely related discipline. (desired).
Experience:
-Three (3) to Five (5) years of industrial welding experience. (Minimum)
-Curriculum development experience in vocational education. (Desired)
-Successful teaching experience. (Desired)
-Experience with outcomes assessment and/or ABET accreditation. (Desired)
-Experience with Non-Destructive Testing, High Energy Density Processes and/or Robotics. (Desired)
Abilities and Skills:
-Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form. (Minimum)
-Willingness to participate in advanced training programs which may require travel, with or without accommodation. (Minimum)
-Possession of a valid driver’s license. (Desired)

Pay TransparencyCommensurate with credentials submitted as applied to the College’s Faculty Salary System. As a point of reference, the salary range for new full-time faculty hired in various disciplines throughout the College for the 2023/24 academic year is $59,299 – $77,142. The wages, hours, and terms and conditions of employment for full-time teaching faculty, counselors and librarians (all regular College funded positions and certain grant/contract funded positions) are determined by the negotiated Agreement between Pennsylvania College of Technology and the Penn College Education Association. If you are currently receiving an annuity from the State or Public School Employees’ Retirement System, employment at Pennsylvania College of Technology may affect your annuity status.
