The School of Labor and Employment Relations, College of the Liberal Arts, seeks to hire an Undergraduate Research Assistant to collaborate with a faculty member on an exciting research project and the development of an innovative leadership development course.
The VTLD Experience Vison
The Virtual Transformational Leadership Development (VTLD) Experience) is an anti-racist leadership development course designed to leverage the arts in a virtual setting to promote student engagement, engaged scholarship and develop the next generation of leaders to serve as agents of change in pursuit of a more civil, inclusive, equitable and just workplace and society. The VTLD Experience will be piloted Fall 2022 semester and will launch as LHR 197 Spring 2023 semester as a General Education Interdomain Domain course.
Research Tasks (Job Description)
The undergraduate research assistant will be responsible for undertaking and completing the following research and course development tasks:

Desired Competencies
This is a wage payroll position and will involve a maximum of 20 hours per week. The individual must be an undergraduate student and be able to begin work Summer 2022 and be willing to commit to Fall 2022 and Spring 2023 semesters. The individual will be required to submit evidence of outstanding skills in the following areas:
In addition, the individual is required to provide demonstrated evidence of a strong interest in the arts, student engagement and engaged scholarship. An online interview via Zoom Meeting and letters of references will be required of finalists. Interested candidates must submit an online application, and should include a letter of application, resume, sample research paper and presentation.
