The Department of Kinesiology (http://hhd.psu.edu/kines/) at The Pennsylvania State University is seeking an Assistant Research Professor with expertise in the area of motor control. This is an exciting opportunity to establish a funded program of innovative research that focuses on neural control and motor rehabilitation. This is a co-funded position with the Department of Kinesiology in the College of Health and Human Development, the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and the Huck Institutes of the Life Sciences.
This position requires the successful candidate to have an earned doctoral degree. Expectations are that the successful candidate develop and continue, funded, high-quality research (including data collection, analyses, publications, and presentations), that is extramurally supported. Some teaching may be required. Preference will be given to individuals who have a focused line of research in the neural control of movement with expertise in non-invasive brain stimulation and MRI methods. We seek an energetic, creative, and collaborative colleague who is passionate about their work and has the potential to build collaborations within and between the Colleges of Health and Human Development and Medicine.
