Director of the Child Development Center (CDC)

This position is a an Exempt, Full-Time, 12-Month, Non-Union Supervisory appointment with an annual salary of $65,169.17

The Director of the Child Development Center (CDC) oversees the successful operations of the program by providing clear vision and strong leadership that will allow the center increase access to higher education for Parkland students who are parenting, and high-quality childcare for Parkland employees and the community at large. The Director fosters a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging environment for students and families; provides direct supervision and leadership for the CDC staff, practicum students, student workers, volunteers, and children in the center; represents the CDC to professional organizations and in the community; facilitates family interaction; coordinates the daily operations of the CDC; and interfaces with Parkland College support services.
The Director of the CDC position is a full-time, exempt, 12-month, non-union supervisory appointment, scheduled during hours of operation for the CDC. Overtime and/or an altered work schedule are occasionally necessary to complete the essential functions of the position. The Director of the CDC frequently handles and maintains confidential information and records.
