Description:

Oregon Corrections Enterprises (OCE) has a full-time opening for an Information Systems Database Analyst and Systems Administrator working at the OCE Administrative Office in Salem, Oregon. This position serves as a member of OCE’s statewide IT team, providing high-level Information Technology (IT) analysis and support for agency business units located in correctional institutions throughout the state including the central administration office. This position offers a competitive compensation package including employer-paid health, vision, dental, paid time off, and retirement through the Oregon Public Employees Retirement System (PERS), and 11 paid holidays per year.

Desired Knowledge and Skills:

• Familiar with SQL, MySQL, Python and Django
• Experience in monitoring data systems and administering security controls, including system log review, security audits, eDiscovery, etc.
• Experience in data development, including table modification, query development, report generation, scripting, API development/usage
• Experience in data system setup, administration and maintenance, including database administration, server configuration, data standards development, performance monitoring, data backup and restoration
• Analyzing organization needs and implementing cost-effective solutions

Physical Requirements:

• The position requires frequent travel and visits to Oregon DOC facilities/institutions with close proximity to Adults in Custody (AICs)
• May be required to work some late and unusual hours and will consist of irregular schedules and days off
• Requires willingness to travel in or out of state, including some overnight trips
• Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time
• Ability to climb stairs without assistive aids

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $6,096.00 – $9,513.00 per month
