Olin Chemicals Hiring for Human Resources Talent Specialist – Texas Operations at Lake Jackson, TX  Full Time

Olin Chlor Alkali Products and Vinyls, a division of Olin Corporation, is seeking a Human Resources Talent Specialistto join our industry leading organization. This position will be located at theLake Jackson, TX office. This position engages with the full talent acquisition cycle and is responsible for sourcing, attracting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding employees, as well as working to improve applicant flow and diversity outreach efforts. This role is aligned with the Corporate Talent Acquisition and Compliance team and will support Olin’s US manufacturing sites, business offices, and Corporate headquarters as needed, with a primary focus supporting Olin’s Texas Operations.

This position is intended to be a talent strategy role with potential for advancement to the next career level (HR Management) for the successful performer; demonstrated learning agility, a history of personal learning/development and a desire for a HR professional career path is required.

Human Resources Talent Specialist Essential Job Functions:

• Partners with HRBPs and hiring managers to understand and post requisitions that accurately reflect the duties and requirements of positions
• Works closely with the HRBP and Talent Acquisition team to prequalify candidates for job fit, culture fit, experience and salary expectations and move candidates through the hiring process by scheduling interviews, coordinating travel, etc.; coordinates with the Talent Acquisition team to assist with offer acceptance, pre-employment, relocation, onboarding, data feeds, orientation plans, etc.
• Ensures the applicant tracking system is maintained correctly and in a timely manner; applicants are dispositioned in accordance with OFCCP guidelines; candidates are contacted appropriately with interview feedback and job files are completed
• Builds qualified and diverse candidate pipelines of relevant areas of talent
• May work with third party recruiters to assist in sourcing candidates
• Supports the Talent Acquisition & Compliance team when needed with various projects. This role will also have opportunities to work on HR related projects as needed.
• Responsible for Affirmative Action data roll up for external hires and internal competitive moves for assigned areas; partners with HRBPs to execute plan and ensure good faith recruiting efforts
• Partners with Talent Acquisition team for on-campus recruiting efforts and managing assigned area intern/co-op onboarding/offboarding/evaluation processes, leader communication and engagement
• Acts as flexible resource to support interviewing needs at Olin’s various US manufacturing locations

Human Resources Talent Specialist Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree* in Human Resources, Employee Relations, Labor Relations, Organizational Development/Management, Employment Law, or Business-related discipline
• 1-2 years related human resources generalist experience preferred; manufacturing/industrial environment experience preferred; chemical or process manufacturing experience preferred
• Solid understanding of current employment law and the ability to learn and follow new developments
• Excellent client relationship skills. Able to forge strong relationships with internal and external partners and be a visible representative of Olin
• Ability to handle competing priorities and multi-task efficiently
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products; HRIS, ERP, ATS systems experience preferred
• Must possess a valid US driver’s license and be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
• Able and willing to travel up to 15% of time, usually overnight
• Ability and willingness to relocate within Olin to other locations in the Southeast, Gulf Coast, West Coast, or Northeast
