OEG, Inc Hiring for Helpdesk Specialist Job at Portland, OR Full Time

GENERAL SUMMARY/PRIMARY FUNCTION

Responsible for understanding, upholding, and promoting CSG’s Critical Success Factors, 1) Safety First! 2) Financial Success (including operational excellence); 3) Employee Satisfaction (including development and training), and 4) Customer Satisfaction. Promote OEG’s Core Values, safety culture and Continuous Process Improvement (CPI). Primary duties include: Providing technical support for OEG users. This includes software and hardware support for end user devices. Identification and remediation of end user technical issues or escalation as needed. Perform basic network troubleshooting. Providing direction to technical resources. Act as a liaison between Enterprise Technical Services and the end user. Provision new devices for end users. Perform responsibilities in accordance with all company standards, policies, and procedures.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Provide support to staff on all company-supported applications and devices
• Troubleshoot device problems, determine source, and advise on appropriate action
• Complete Information Technology project work
• Install, configure, and maintain company devices and related hardware and software
• Maintain knowledge of computer and/or network security systems, applications, procedures, and techniques
• Identify and resolve computer system malfunctions and operations problems
• Identify and communicate opportunities for improvement
• 50% Travel including Portland Metro, Boardman, and Seattle. Potential travel to AZ, CA and remote solar projects
• Perform additional duties as assigned

KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to learn and support new systems and applications. Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities. Problem solving methodologies.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

1-2 years of helpdesk support experience. Industry certifications preferred. Valid driver’s license required.
