The Position
The Senior Scientist will provide scientific leadership in the identification and validation of new drug targets, advancing novel therapies to the clinic, and developing technologies to accelerate scientific research. This will be achieved by proposing and leading internal and external research efforts to support project goals. The Senior Scientist will represent the organization as a subject matter expert to the external scientific community through the publication and presentation of research, and through the development, management, and leadership of external collaborations. The individual will be seen across the company and beginning to be viewed externally as a method/subject expert for one or two technologies or area(s) of biology.
Relationships
This is a fulltime onsite position located in Novo Norodisk site in Boston area.
Reports to the head of In Vivo Pharmacology at Novo Nordisk in Boston
Internal relationships include working closely with technical staff & other members of the scientific leadership team; regular collaborations with members of other research departments at NN Boston; & frequent interaction with project managers & colleagues across global R&D. Individual may direct the work of other staff members.
Individual will interact with external research collaborators based in both academia- & industry.
