The Position
The Scientist II will provide technical leadership in complex in vivo workflows, identification and validation of new drug targets, advancing novel therapies, and developing technologies to accelerate scientific research. This will be achieved by coordinating multiple research activities involving cross-functional project teams to ensure achievement of key deliverables. The Scientist II will represent the organization to the external scientific community through publication and presentation of research, and through the development, management, and leadership of external collaborations. The individual will be seen across the company as a method/subject expert for one or two technologies or area(s) of biology.
Relationships
This is a full-time position located in Boston area. This position will report to the head of In vivo Pharmacology at Novo Nordisk in Boston.
Internal relationships include working closely with technical staff & other members of the scientific leadership team; regular collaborations with members of other research departments in Boston; & frequent interaction with project managers & other colleagues in Denmark, Oxford and Beijing. Individual may be responsible for indirect reports or contingent workers.
Individual will interact with external research collaborators, both academia- & industry-based.
