As the Technician III, Facility Maintenance for the 1st shift, you will be responsible for the troubleshooting, repair, and the preventive and corrective maintenance of facility equipment and building systems. This includes utilities, facilities, and HVAC, key building systems such sprinklers, site utilities (boilers, chillers, USP water, HVAC, etc.), and building fabric.
Your additional responsibilities include, but not limited to:
•Ensure all work carried out and equipment installed is safe, effective and in compliance with the appropriate industry and regulatory standards (FDA, DEA, OSHA), and departmental, plant and corporate quality and HS&E policies and procedures.
•Communicates to supervisor opportunities to improve equipment reliability and reduce maintenance costs. Promptly advises Maintenance management of issues that will adversely and significantly affect production schedules.
•Assist with projects related to new or modified production equipment, facility infrastructure, regulatory compliance, and other projects as required to support departmental objectives.
•Ensure the completion of maintenance documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
•Recognizes, develops, and implements opportunities for cost and risk reduction (improved methods, identifying adverse trends, etc.).
•Adheres to all applicable procedures, cGMPs, company policies and any other quality or regulatory requirements (i.e., OSHA, DEA, FDA, EMEA, ANVISA, HS&E, etc.)
This position may require the labeling, packaging, or movement of hazardous (flammable, corrosive, toxic, etc.) waste within the facility. If so, this employee would be trained under OSHA’s HAZWOPER standard, 29 CFR 1910.120 as an 8-Hour first responder, 24-Hour incident commander, or a 40-Hour incident commander.
In lieu of HAZWOPER training, the employee will receive training on the requirements of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act pursuant to 40 CFR 265.16.
All employees that have received the above-mentioned training upon hire will receive annual refresher training that covers the OSHA HAZWOPER standard and the requirements of RCRA.
Minimum requirements
What you’ll bring to the role:
•Associate degree in related field or technical equivalent training and work experience required.
•Minimum 6 years of work experience in manufacturing or maintenance environment is required.
•Requires basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel)
•Fluent in English good communications skills both verbal and written, ability to read and understand SOPs and all forms of training materials.
•Must be available for overtime when needed, including evenings and weekends.
•Requires availability for emergency telephone support and call-in rotation.
•Must be able to work in all areas of both Hicksville and Melville facilities and follow gowning requirements where specified.
•Requires ability to climb ladders and stairs, work in and through construction areas and lift 50 pounds.
•Experience in regulated environments such as pharmaceutical, medical device, food and beverage is preferred.
This opportunity is located at the Hicksville, NY location, and will not have the ability to be located remotely. Preference will be given to local candidates not requiring relocation.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $33.32 and $49.95/hour; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/23 through 12/31/23, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
