The Director, Institutional Contracts, Chargebacks & Rebates (ICCR) position will oversee the Channel Contracting, Membership and Chargeback/Rebate Processing team responsible for the development, governance, and execution of Channel Contracts. Responsible for the accurate management of membership and processing of chargebacks/rebates, managing disputes, revenue leakage management, automation, and continual process improvements.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Lead a team of people, providing development, direction, and oversight
• Collaborates with Market Access and Legal to align on Contract offerings
• Reviews, approves, and executes Channel contracts
• Responsible for ensuring membership eligibility and chargeback/rebate payment process
• SOX control owner
• Management of Revenue Leakage pertaining to contract terms and rebate processing
• Leads Channel Contract governance processes
• Prioritizes projects and align resources to ensure the timely execution of contracts, membership, and rebates
• Ensures standardized and systematic approaches are implemented to guide contract development and rebate processing
• Continuous process improvements through automation and simplification
This position will be based at the East Hanover, NJ office and will not have the ability to be located remotely.
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $201,600.00 and $302,400 per year; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/23 through 12/31/23, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
Minimum requirements
What you’ll bring to the role:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 4-year university degree required; subject area in Business, Finance or related preferred. MBA or advanced degree a plus.
• 8+ years of experience required (10+ years preferred) within the pharmaceutical industry
• Experience in pharmaceutical contracting and revenue management
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills including experience
• Experience recruiting, managing, training and motivating a diverse team strongly preferred
• Ability to handle complex contracts and analytics
• Anticipate stakeholder needs
• Ability to manage relationships with customers and other department
• Agility to work in a fast paced, cross-functional team atmosphere and maintain a highly positive working environment
• Proficiency with MS Office applications including advanced Excel, PowerPoint and analytical capabilities
