The Associate Director, Forecasting & Data Analytics will be responsible for inline product worldwide forecast, and data analytics through secondary data, primary data to ensure the growth of inline products as well as future products and business opportunities. This position will play a key role for business forecast for inline and new products forecast, data stewardship for Commercial Data Management System (CDMS).
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Developing worldwide new products/BD&L assets forecast model
• Designing and executing in-depth data analytics projects to support forecasting needs include patient longitudinal data
• Responsible for building global forecasting model for inline product with local market input
• Assessing competitive landscape and advising on adjustment in forecast when needed
• Performing analysis and reporting within our commercial data warehouse, which involves composing complex queries across multiple tables
• Supporting data stewardship for the Veeva CRM and patient hub
• Instilling a culture of ethics and integrity and ensuring compliance with all applicable policies and regulations
• Other related duties as assigned
This position will be located at Novartis Gene Therapies US Headquarters in Bannockburn, IL and will not have the ability to be located remotely.
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $144,000.00 and $216,000.00 per year; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/23 through 12/31/23, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
Minimum requirements
What you’ll bring to the role:
• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, or other analytics-related degree.
• 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical commercial data, forecasting and analytics.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical data sources and their application to support business decisions. Experience utilizing limited/sub-optimal data to gain insights in specialty pharmaceutical products or orphan/ rare diseases.
• Ability to combine primary data sources and secondary market research insights to support sales and marketing strategies and forecasting.
• Demonstrated business acumen, proven ability in translating ideas into concepts, gaining budget and delivering results on budget and on time.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong PC and software skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must be proficient in SQL
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Qlik, Tableau, Power BI, etc.
• Exceptional organizational, time, and task management skills. Ability to prioritize critical tasks and maintain high degree of accuracy amid competing deadlines.
• Team player with the ability to work collaboratively in a global, matrix organization.
• Entrepreneurial, decisive, and have the tenacity to “make things happen.”
• Strong interpersonal skills and persuasiveness.
• Effective communication and presentation skills.
