Reporting to Director, Analytical Data Products, this position will serve as a technical leader to lead the design and development of data solutions, products, and services across Innovative Medicines (IM) US business functions to facilitate decision making using a continuum of technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support in development of the strategic data solutions and capabilities (e.g. analytical data marts, metric libraries, viz/content delivery tools) in US IM
• Conduct meetings and presentations with Stakeholders across the organization and partner with them to build great solutions that drive strategic value in an efficient manner.
• Translate the business needs into actionable analytics focused data solutions/features/initiatives using technology platforms like Data IKU, Snowflake, Alteryx, R, Qlik, SQL engines and Python to provide solutions and/or recommendations.
• Hands-on development to build data solutions/rapid prototypes/POCs and Dashboards.
• Translate business requirements into design, data and specifications managing team, IT, business services and related vendors who are responsible for the development and deployment of the reports.
• Manage process for ad-hoc analytics and content delivery and streamline fragmented efforts.
• Drive governance around building data as a service on modern data/analytics/BI solutions
• Support in raising the data literacy of the organization. Responsible for maintaining knowledge management for various data as a service initiative.

• Collaborate with IT teams for infrastructure and platform needs. Creation of documentation, including Business Requirements, Design documents, etc.
“This position will be located at the East Hanover, NJ site and will not have the ability to be located remotely. This position will require 5% – 10% travel as defined by the business (domestic and/ or international).
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $144,000 and $216,000/year; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/23 through 12/31/23, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
Minimum requirements
Essential Requirements:
• BS in Biology, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics, Business, or other technical degree. MS or MBA preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience in successfully data/analytics/BI initiatives in industry/consulting setup
• Advanced knowledge and hands-on development experience on tools, dashboards, and software like Snowflake, DataIKU, Data Bricks, Qlik, Alteryx, R, SAS and Python.
• Experience working in cloud platforms AWS preferred. Need an understanding of the different cloud services and experience working with them.
• Experience with data strategy, data integrations in real time and batch modes and knowledge of data modelling on relational and dimensional models.
• Excellent understanding of data management platforms, relational databases systems (RDBMS), data-warehousing concepts, ETL development, cloud solutions and systems integration.
• Experience assessing needs and resources to recommend strategic data consumption solutions. Established track record driving business goals and offerings through data, business intelligence, and analytics. Have built and led a data delivery/visual analytics team that has created a data-driven culture.
• Ability to manage multiple high priority projects with attention to detail and execution in a timely and efficient manner. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Exceptional analytical skills with ability to review and analyze significant amounts of information.
Desirable Requirements:
• Experience leading development of web applications on React or Angular. Experience with Graph databases and Network analysis, NLP and Heuristics.
• Experience working within/ for US Pharma or Life Sciences industry, supporting the development of centralized data & reporting strategies for specialty products
