The Associate Director, Content Enablement will functionally report to the Content Enablement Product Leader. He/she will oversee the marketing technology product strategy, priorities, roadmap, development, and ongoing evolution of one or more products in the Content Enablement portfolio. Some of the key performance indicators the person in this role will be responsible for may include but are not limited to improving speed to market of promotional and non-promotional content, content re-use, and enablement of leveraging content in a modular and personalize manner. The person in this role will have the opportunity to shape the opportunity space for the overall success of their product domain based on customer insights and product feedback.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Establish and lead product management for one or more product value streams in the Content Enablement team (i.e., DAM, workflows, etc.)
• Consistently work within the defined approach of product governance, ways of working and best practice sharing across the Innovative Medicines Organization (IMO)
• Actively contribute to and collaborate with product owners within IMO, along with other strategic partner functions product management teams, (i.e., CE&E Marketing Technology, PSS) to enable a cohesive community of practice across Innovative Medicines US and Innovative Medicines International (IMI) that is scaling knowledge and technology effectively and operating with consistent and reliable executional excellence
• Contribute to the design and alignment of the 3-year product vision and product roadmap(s) for software products in the Integrated Marketing Organization
• Work to obtain input and feedback from key stakeholders to align product strategy and delivery on business outcomes. Incorporate feedback loops from users into the product strategy, roadmap, and release schedule.
• Leverage insights and analytics to make informed recommendations and decisions.
• Participate in the annual planning effort, including budgeting and planning, as well as defining group objectives and key metrics that support the overall Content Enablement product portfolio.
• Research and incorporate industry standards and trends into product strategies
• Partner with external and internal partners to ensure adherence to standards (privacy and regulatory)
• Actively participate in technology vendor selection by identifying desired user outcomes, evaluating technology capabilities, and making recommendations.
• Owns the product backlog and oversees ongoing backlog refinement throughout the product lifecycle. Writes the epics and user stories in partnership with the cross functional scrum team.
• Participate in planning and execution of communications, education, and demonstration of the product to all Business units to shorten the Business’s learning curve and increase adoption
• Identify and manage key stakeholder relationships, inclusive of sharing and building a shared understanding of the product plans, roadmaps, research results and demos.
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $144,000 and $216,000 year; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/23 through 12/31/23, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.• Minimum of 5 years of related technical experience in Product Management, Marketing Technology or similar, with multi-functional experience in Pharmaceutical or Healthcare industries preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in leading product management content-related systems in an enterprise environment
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in operating effective marketing technology configurations and integrations that drive performance and enable effective customer engagement and marketing activities
• Relevant experience in transforming the businesses through next generation engagement and related product management operations
• Understanding of regulatory, compliance privacy and legal guardrails and policies
• Effective cross-functional collaboration with various stakeholders and teams includingProduct, Technology Transformation, Communications, Privacy, Legal, Regulatory, Compliance and Global
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities and deadlines
• Operate well in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, collaboration, client relationship skills, detail-oriented
• Self-confidence to ask insightful questions to understand and challenge ideas
• Experience delivering product in an agile methodology preferred.
• Experience with digital asset management and / or productivity management software such as Aprimo, Veeva PromoMats, Adobe Experience Cloud or others preferred.
