The Remote Sensing Program (RSP) Engineering organization within the PGS Division of Space Sector seeks a Project Manager to lead and provide support to an RSP organization of 680+ staff. The position reports directly to the RSP Engineering Operations Manager and is in Linthicum, MD.
Part time remote work option available, with the ability to work onsite part time.
In this role, the candidate understands the goals and priorities of the RSP engineering organization, ensuring all activities are aligned with these objectives, interpreting, and developing organizational strategies, policies, and practices to meet staffing and workforce development objectives. The selected candidate will:
Collaborate with multiple functional organizations (human resources, talent acquisition, agile hiring team, functional managers) to define strategies that enhance our ability to recruit new talent
Recruit new hires, coordinate referrals, review candidates, collaborate with hiring managers to attract the best talent
Streamline onboarding tasks and be the primary focal point for early onboarding stages
Collaborate with the Business Unit (BU) operations manager and employee experience manager to ensure a strong partnership between engineering and programs as well as understaffing the overall staffing needs
Support staffing efforts including demand summarization, supply forecast planning, and retention activities to meet the labor goals required by the business unit
Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
Organize and coordinate engineering material purchases with global supply chain
Support program security with coordinating facility needs
Identify engineering focus areas for improvement/streamlining, development and execution of engineering initiatives, and elimination of non-value-added activities in all levels of the engineering organization
Hiring Experience. Understands and applies principles, concepts, practices, and standards

Excels at operating in a fast pace, diverse environment and can adapt to change
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Experience setting up task schedules, tracking progress, and compiling data for status reporting metrics
