The Northern Kentucky Area Development District, Division of Human Services is seeking a qualified individual for the position of full-time Public Transportation Coordinator.

Summary:
The Transportation program serves mobility needs in an 8-county region and includes successful coordination with a variety of stakeholders and transportation providers.
The Public Transportation Coordinator will participate in the development of initial policies, priorities, communication strategies, and scheduling protocols for the program.
Responsibilities will also consist of directing & overseeing regional transportation software, coordination with both for-profit & non-profit transportation providers, development of an internal team, day-to-day operations, as well as budgeting and compliance with requisite laws and regulations.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a high degree of problem solving, organizational skills, and thorough and clear communication skills as well as high personal integrity.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in field relevant to the position.
Program development and program management experience skills preferred.
3 to 5 years’ experience in management and supervision of personnel as well as prior transportation experience strongly preferred.
Advanced facility and skills with computer programs including high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office suite required.
Customer Service orientation necessary.
Knowledge of community resources and services for seniors is a plus, as is familiarity with Medicaid & Medicare programs.
Must possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Excellent organizational, verbal, written, and interpersonal skills required.
Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license and have the ability to successfully pass a background check.
