Arts & Science is seeking an experienced Manager to join Expository Writing
Program (EXP). This role manages faculty, business and administrative operations for the EWP, which provides writing instruction to more
than 4,000 NYU students from CAS, Steinhardt, Nursing, Silver, Tandon, and Tisch annually.
Responsibilities: include coordinating the departmental hiring, onboarding, reappointment and promotion
processes, managing a highly complex budget as well as supervising staff to ensure effective and efficient office operations and the
delivery of budgetary, financial, administrative, and technical services. Manage preparation of financial reports and projects for EWP;
develop departmental budget, manage and control expenditures. Act as an administrative liaison with EWP program faculty, other school and
University offices; interpret and apply University policies to plan and manage highly complex administrative
matters.
Qualifications:
Required Education:
Bachelor’s
Degree
Required Experience:
3+ years relevant experience, including experience with supervising staff, overseeing
office and program activities, and administering budgets.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent
interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Ability to provide advice, problem solve, and interact with individuals at all
levels. Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and
Abilities:
Knowledge of Google suite and Excel/Google sheets. Familiarity with Albert, Concur, UDW+, PeopleSync, Handshake, iBuy
and Interfolio.
Additional Information:
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the
annual base salary range for this position is USD $90,000.00 to USD $100,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not
limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity,
as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any
additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
