Supervise one or more Career Development Counselors, support staff, and graduate program assistants and interns. Assist one or more Associate Directors in the conceptualization, development, and implementation of career development initiatives in NY. Liaise with senior stakeholders, including faculty, university administrators, and employers in NY and across NYU’s global sites. Provide input in determining budgetary needs and with assessing programming effectiveness. Maintain a career-counseling schedule with students and alumni.

Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field

Preferred Education:
Master’s Degree in a related field

Required Experience:
5+ years of relevant experience in career services, counseling, student personnel, human resources or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must include experience developing and implementing programs, seminars, events, and preparing training materials.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Career planning, assessment, and job-search expertise. Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, writing and organizational skills. Ability to deal with a diverse population at all levels.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Must be well versed in quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data in NYU systems and be able to strictly follow data privacy and security procedures for data handling and analysis to ensure adherence to legal and institutional standards.

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,062.50 to USD $90,062.50. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
