Description
This position will support on-campus students and summer conference programs, develop and
update campus/RLH policies and procedures, crisis support as well as fall 2022 training and planning efforts.
Examples of
Duties
Overseeing judicial affairs and initiatives that keep New College of Florida compliant with laws and liability may
require developing and establishing a working relationship with the institution’s General Counsel.
Responsible for selection, training,
advising, and indirect supervision of all faculty, staff, and students involved in the NCF community standards system, including the
community board.
Investigate and adjudicate complaints regarding student behavior within or directly related to the college
community.
Develop, review, disseminate, and implement the student code of conduct.
Hearing appeals for residence life, housing
services, and dining services decisions, including but not limited to residency requirements, off-campus petitions, and fee assessments when
not the original decision maker.
Ensure compliance with Colleges Community Standards Policy and procedures, applying sanctions for
non-academic misconduct, and coordinating disciplinary action with relevant offices and personnel
Consults and collaborates with key
members of the college community, including but not limited to students, faculty, staff, NCPD, Human Resources, department heads, and upper
administration.
Collaborates with the Title IX Coordinator, NCPD, and TAT regarding student discipline and behavior
concerns.
Evaluate students’ conduct records for various offices and dean certification requests.
Researches current legal issues,
academic integrity, trends in higher education, and student conduct. Implements best practices.
Responsible for ensuring the following
services are available to the New College Community: Community and Staff Development, Crisis Management, Conflict Resolution, Student
Leadership Development and Safety

Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in
an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of
specialization and eight years of appropriate experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree is
strongly preferred in student affairs, college student personnel, higher education, counseling, gender studies, or related areas.
Two
years of relevant experience, preferably in a college or university setting working with Student Involvement, Clubs and Organizations,
Residential Life, and Judicial Affairs.
Experience advising, supporting, or counseling students in a one-on-one setting.
Appropriate
leadership, creative and problem-solving skills.
The ability to coordinate various concurrent projects, programs, and
events.
Excellent communication skills, especially with students and senior administrators.
Experienced presenter.
