Essential Job Duties:
This is a temporary, full-time position (40 hours per week) for an instructional assistant to assist with course delivery in the Geospatial Analytics PHD and Master of Geospatial Information Science & Technology (MGIST) programs. The purpose of this position is to serve primarily as an instructional course development lead for a GIS-based surface analysis and modeling course with topics including proximity analysis with cost surfaces and least cost paths, multivariate spatial interpolation and 3D surface visualization and a special focus is on terrain modeling, geomorphometry, solar irradiation, visibility, and watershed analysis. Additional duties include development of a syllabus and instructional materials for a new open science’ special topics course.
