About the Department:
DASA Technology Services provides strategic, integrated, reliable, and secure technology solutions in alignment with, and support of, the Division of Academic & Student Affairs (DASA) and its strategic goals. DASA Tech is a centralized service that supports all 50 departments, which are a wide array of academic units (providing both academic instruction and support services), student service units (such as health, housing, and career services) and student developmental programming units (such as leadership, and the arts). DASA Tech provides a full complement of services, including daily desktop support, development and support of both custom and vendor applications, and strategic technology budgeting and planning.
Essential Job Duties:
This position serves as an IT Manager for DASA Technology Services, and is a leadership position within the organization. This position is responsible for leading device lifecycle management efforts of DASA Technology. This includes close coordination with the Assistant Director of the Systems Operations team, other leaders within DASA Technology, and a collaborative mindset to incorporate DASA departmental leadership requirements. Responsibilities are varied and complex, with the goal of following industry and university best practices to recommend and provide technology solutions to meet the unique needs of each unit. The IT Manager serves as a member of the DASA Technology Services Leadership Team, which is responsible for the tactical and strategic management of the entire department.
The IT Manager is responsible for:
● Supervision of two full-time EHRA employees.
● Ensuring ongoing inventory compliance including but not limited to BIOS, OS, software, and security patches.
● Managing the purchasing, initial imaging, deployment, and surplus workflow of endpoint devices.
● Providing project management oversight for all large laptop and desktop purchases within the division.
● Overseeing software package management for Windows and macOS devices.
● Overseeing mobile device management for iOS, ipadOS, Android, and ChromeOS devices.
● Serving as the backup for the Assistant Director when the Assistant Director is unavailable.
● Purchasing and coordination of deployment for printers, coordination of WolfPrint printers, coordination of contracted print services through CEI for ASPSA high-volume computer lab.
● Generates asset management reports focused on device lifecycle management.
● Document, manage, and enforce device inventory and lifecycle management procedures for the division.

Minimum Education and Experience:
Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline and three years of experience in the information technology field related to the area of assignment; or bachelor’s degree and two years of experience in the information technology field related to the area of assignment; or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline and two years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. In addition, this role requires 1 year of supervisor experience for the management role.
