About the Department:
The Business Services Coordinator is part of the NC Cooperative Extension on-campus administrative team working directly with on-campus administration and support staff and directly with county field faculty and support positions in NC Cooperative Extension Service County Centers. The NC Cooperative Extension Administrative team utilizes five Extension District Administrative units and the Business Services Coordinator positions in particular, to connect NC Cooperative Extension’s 100 County Centers with the College of Ag and Life Sciences and NCSU at many levels, perhaps the most important of which are Human Resource (Staffing), Finance, Budgeting and Policies and Procedures. Because 100 NC county governments are significant fiscal contributors to the NC Cooperative Extension system, programming, processes, policies and procedures for NCSU-county personnel have been developed to accommodate the unique relationships that exist. The Business Services Coordinator, working with a District Extension Director, fosters and supports the counties in support of NC Cooperative Extension Service across the state.
Essential Job Duties:
The Business Services Coordinator position provides and coordinates business, administrative, and fiscal services within the district. The functions of this position will provide high-level guidance to district employees and serve as an important link to external constituencies (such as industry stakeholders, alumni, and campus personnel). The Business Services Coordinator must anticipate, manage, and administer human resources, district business and fiscal responsibilities, communications, and events. This will require excellent communication of financial and business policies/regulations, and managing financial and business functions.

Minimum Experience/Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Travel within the county and throughout the state to perform essential job duties in a personal or state vehicle. In most cases, public transportation is not available and sites may be in rural areas.Valid NC Driver’s License required:
