M&S Blasting LLC is a family owned and operated business located in Hallstead, PA specializing in blasting and drilling operations for quarries in the dimensional bluestone industry across Northeast Pa and Broom County, NY.

Looking for an individual with blasting experience or a willingness to be trained on the job in blasting operations.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in blasting operations
• Handle explosives safely and responsibly ie. attatching detonators to dynamite, taping cord, laying out detonators, dynamite, anfo bags
• Stem holes with crusheded stone or water
• Cover explosives with appropriate material ie. dust and sand
• Assist in wiring of detonators
• Deploying and retrieving command wires
• Take and record hole counts, measurements, and items used during blasting operations
• Assist in clearing and blocking access to blast areas

Requirements:

• Pass a drug test.
• Pass a background check.
• Valid drivers license
• Work with blasting personnel on blaster activity.
• Communicate and interact with customers
• Basic math skills
• Able to carry heavy objects

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 – $25.00 per hour
