Department Summary & Job Purpose:
Assistant Basketball Coach and Athletics Equipment Coordinator is a full-time coaching and administrative position. The successful candidate will support the head basketball coach in coaching, organizing, and administering an intercollegiate varsity basketball program and overseeing the athletics equipment operations for the department.
Core Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Assistant Basketball Coach (70%)
Athletics Equipment Coordinator (25%)
Other Duties (5%)
Qualifications:
• The position requires a Bachelor’s degree
• A valid driver’s license
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to efficiently and effectively carry tasks out to completion.
• The ability to function effectively at a competitive liberal arts NCAA Division III college with highly selective academic standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior experience coaching within a collegiate basketball program is preferred.
License/Certifications:
Compliance Requirements: All department employees are required to demonstrate exemplary ethical conduct and conformance to NCAA rules and regulations; the duties of the position are to be performed in compliance with all NCAA, Conference, and College rules and regulations; and any rules violations on behalf of themselves or any knowledge of violations within the department are to be reported to the appropriate parties. Annually, each department member must pass the NCAA Division III rules test and complete athletics staff sexual violence prevention training.
