Instructor – Health Information Technology (Tenure Track)

The College is looking for exceptional colleagues who have the following: (1) an understanding of the college mission and teaching experience in a comprehensive community college; (2) a focus on student success in a learner-centered environment; and (3) a willingness to use technology to support learning in the academic setting, including on-line instruction and assessment of student learning outcomes.MVCC is seeking to fill a full-time, ten-month Health Information Technology (HIT) Instructor position in the School of Health Sciences. The Instructor will be responsible for teaching in an online program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM). The position requires on campus obligations along with student advisement and committee responsibilities, curriculum development and program assessment activities, variable teaching schedules and alternative instructional strategies as assigned. Participation in service-based learning and interest in international initiatives are appreciated.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degreeRHIA/RHIT credentials (Registered Health Information Administration/Technician) and experience in Health Information Management Field
