Position Function:
Candidates are sought to develop a nationally prominent research program in risk analysis
and/or agricultural policy economics and have the potential to be an effective classroom instructor. This position has a 60 percent research
appointment and a 40 percent teaching appointment.
Salary Grade : UC

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate
will be expected to: (1) develop a nationally prominent research program with extramural funding and publications in leading peer-reviewed
journals, (2) provide high-quality undergraduate and/or graduate teaching (generally two to three courses per year) and contribute to the
development and growth of the undergraduate Agribusiness major, (3) advise undergraduate students and direct graduate student theses, and
(4) communicate research results to relevant policy makers and stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D.
in agricultural/applied economics, economics or related field. Outstanding oral and written communication skills are required. The
successful candidate will demonstrate potential to develop strong research and teaching programs. A willingness to collaborate with existing
faculty in the department on risk/policy efforts is also desirable.
