Full Job Description
Job Summary:
The Bookkeeper/Purchasing Agent will assist with maintaining accounting records for the company and assist production with material purchases.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Records numerical and financial data to produce financial records.
· Ensures financial data is entered correctly and accurately.
· Enters journal entries to debit and credit the company’s accounts.
· Matches packing slips and purchase orders for incoming shipments
· Records and reconciles expenditures for operations and sales departments.
· Prepares invoices and sends them to customers.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial data analysis.
· Prior AP/AR experience required.
· Ability to use accounting software to record, store, and analyze financial data.
· Ability to efficiently operate a 10-key calculator or equivalent and other related office equipment.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
· Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent required
· At least two years of bookkeeping or purchasing experience required.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 – $20.00 per hour
