Store Support Specialist

Store Support Specialist is an important post responsible for carrying out and leading the sales support functions in the Lowe’s stores we serve. Store Support responsibilities of providing quality services to our clients by ensuring that they are completely satisfied with the services Midwest Flooring provides. The Store Support Specialist shares the client experience from start to finish to ensure customer surveys rate us a “10” on Professionalism, Craftsmanship and Likelihood to Recommend. The Store Support Specialist must be a “do whatever it takes” leader to drive sales in the stores and to represent Midwest Flooring’s and Lowe’s culture and core values.

Key Responsibilities of a Store Support

Store Support is responsible for making store visits to support and train for growth of the Flooring Department in each store that you serve. Other key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Support stores in training of sales techniques, company policies, product knowledge, and installation procedures.

Support stores in detail generation and sales by being present in stores to assist customers and help close the deal.

Develop and deliver in-house training for retail teams regarding the sales and service procedures.

Support the strategies of the day-to-day services and that all the clients’ needs have been delivered successfully.

Make recommendations and design policies and rules that will reduce the costs and improve the efficiency of the services.

He/She takes feedback from the stores and customers and reports it to field leadership and provides details regarding whether the client’s expectations have been met or not.

A Store Support should have excellent people leadership skills.

She/He should have excellent time management and organization skills.

He/She should be able to work under stressful work conditions and should have good problem-solving ability.

She/He should have good multi-tasking ability with excellent written and oral communication skills.

He/She should be able to identify problems and provide good solutions for the same.

She/He should also have an attitude for flexibility and should be willing to travel 85% away from the office with minimum overnights.

Educational Background

A Store Support Specialist should have completed a high school diploma (Associated degree or higher preferred). An individual who has previous work experience in the flooring industry along with some technical background also has high probability of getting selected for this role.

Work Schedule

A Store Support Specialist needs to work inside the office, the warehouse, the stores and in the field as well. He/She may have varying work schedule and may need to travel long distances.
