Title: Human Resource Specialist
$24.04 – $28.85 / Posted Thru: 8-1-23
Location: Remote/Virtual – Must Live in Michigan
Purpose: Under the direction of the Director, CDGS the Human Resource Specialist will administer human resources and payroll policies, act as the primary contact answering HR questions, troubleshoot complex HR issues, connect affiliate employees/supervisors to content experts, and assist with the development and revision of business processes.

Qualifications/Requirements:
Education: Possession of a bachelor’s degree in relevant field. Prefer candidates with degree in human resources or business management or business administration.
Experience: A minimum of three years’ work experience as an HR Specialist/Generalist including hands on experience working in HRIS systems and a solid understanding of HR concepts, practices, procedures, and employment labor laws.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements: Job involves viewing of a monitor 75% – 95% of the time.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE WORK OF OTHERS: No assigned responsibility.

This position is a highly visible position as it works with applicants, clients and employees concerning sensitive HR related issues that influence MPHI’s reputation and financial positions. The extent to which these duties are accomplished will dictate the extent to which the Human Resources department is effective. This position also directly impacts the professional credibility of MPHI due to the regular contact with both internal staff and external clients and applicants. Competent performance in this position has a substantial impact on the integrity and professional reputation of MPHI.
