Title: Departmental Technician – LSS
$21.18 – $29.50 / Posted Thru: 10-24-23
Location: Remote/Virtual – Must Live in Michigan
Purpose: This position serves as a Departmental Technician for the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) Lead Services Section (LSS). This position requires an individual who can work well within diverse demographics and under short timelines. This position requires an individual who is detailed, efficient and works well with the public to support the work of the LSS. This position will perform a variety of data collection, data entry and data analysis for the LSS to monitor and evaluate environmental lead investigations and lead abatement services throughout the State of Michigan.

Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience: One year of experience performing administrative support activities required.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements: Physical effort required to perform this job would be sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and using a personal computer daily. Primary environmental condition is typical office setting.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE WORK OF OTHERS: No assigned responsibility.
IMPACT ON PROJECTS, SERVICES AND OPERATIONS: The Division of Environmental Health, Lead Services Section is dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of Michigan citizens by promoting safe and healthy home environments through comprehensive home-based intervention programs, lead certifications and regulations, public education and outreach, and statewide partnership. This work area provides a variety of direct and community-based lead poisoning prevention services to communities statewide. This position is responsible for entry and maintenance of data from between 500-800 Environmental Investigation reports and other abatement records annually.
