Job Description Summary:Make sure the department office is covered as much as possible for any visitors that would happen to stop by.
Covering the department phone to direct calls appropriately so that the department Admin can focus on their duties.
Give assistance to the department Admin as needed.Essential Duties:
Handle any print/scan jobs from faculty.
Assist with forwarding department emails (entity account).
Distribute mail (we are the mailroom for all IRV).
Continually make sure kitchenette is clean.
Check workroom for supplies.
Check bulletin boards for old posters.
Check all language bulletin boards for brochures.
Handle all room requests for the department.
Enter work orders to PFD for maintenance issues.
Enter emails to CAS I.T. if any computer/printer issues reported.
Empty trash/recycling in four rooms.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have a strong customer service mindset.
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Solid understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Expert telephone etiquette.
Able to be productive while working independently or as part of a team.
Willing to run errands across campus as necessary.
Position is for the spring 2023 (202320) semester and if work is satisfactory, employment will continue until graduation or voluntary withdrawal from employment.
