GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT: Summarize the nature and level of work performed.
Under the direction of the Practice Manager this position is responsible for providing day to day support and oversight of the medical specialties ambulatory practices within the ASB2 suite Clinic. The Practice Coordinator is expected to be on-site and available to physicians, staff and patients during business hours, unless assigned to activities that require time away from the practice site.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ambulatory Practice Management
The Practice Coordinator is responsible for clinical operations, human resources, and process flow for the Speciality clinic located on ASBII. The Coordinator is expected to facilitate the prompt resolution of problems that arise in daily clinical operations and to collaborate with the Practice Manager in providing a consistent standard of service. This position reports to the Practice manager. The Coordinator is responsible for anticipating and addressing staffing issues, room assignment issues, and equipment or supply issues that could negatively impact the efficient flow of the clinical session.
JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Indicate key areas of responsibility
for building master templates and maintaining the exam room grids.
SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: (MUST be realistic, neither overstated nor understated, and related to the essential functions of the job.)
2. Excellent organizational and analytical skills; comprehensive understanding of hospital and group policies and procedures.
3. Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines and to make independent decisions.
4. Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
5. Ability to interact well with others, to include patients, physicians and co-workers.
6. Familiarity with automated appointment scheduling and medical billing systems.
7. Ability to use computer keyboard, copier, fax, and printers.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Describe the conditions in which the work is performed.
Outpatient clinic environment.
