Applied Composites (AC) is seeking a Metrology Inspector 3. In this position, you will be responsible for metrology solutions in an aerospace manufacturing environment. Provide metrology solutions including but not limited to: laser tracker/ PCMM inspections, machine alignments, reverse engineering, tool building and assembly, and software and hardware training. Generate inspection reports to customer specifications. This includes Drawing Based inspection reports, First Article Inspection Reports, Model Based Definition inspection reports, and Dimensional inspection reports.

Job Accountabilities:
Applies knowledge of GD&T principles as applicable to interpret engineering specifications while performing metrology verifications
Perform metrology inspection tasks using equipment support by Verisurf Software
Correctly identifies and applies the use of supporting hand-held measurement tools and devices (as applicable) during the performance of the hardware or tooling’s inspection
Notifies Program Manager, or QM (as appropriate) of non-conforming hardware conditions and initiates the non-conformance report promptly
Creates Acceptance or Rejection tags as applicable
Will perform First Article Inspection Inspections as required
Job Specifications:
Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations
Years Experience: 3-5 years or more of relevant experience
Skills:
Experience using Laser Trackers (Leica, Faro, and API), PCMMs (Romer and Faro arms), 3D Laser scanners, and Total Stations
Knowledge of Computer Aided Measuring software (Verisurf, Polyworks, Spatial Analyzer, Buildit, etc.)
Experience with Microsoft products (Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Experienced with blueprint reading and GD&T
Solid knowledge of 3D CAD
Excellent 3D analytical skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent communications skills, both written and oral
Attention to detail
Ability to make effective decisions and presentations on complex manufacturing topics to technicians, engineers, managers, and executives
