Position Overview & Responsibilities
The Assistant General Counsel (“AGC”) will report to the
Vice President and General Counsel, Secretary of the Board, to represent and advise the College and its administrators in legal matters. As
part of a small legal department, the AGC will assist the General Counsel in providing general legal services on behalf of the College to
all of the College’s constituencies, including senior administrators, faculty, and staff; in addition to providing general leadership
on non-legal matters. They will competently and comprehensively review, negotiate and provide legal advice in accordance with federal and
state law. The primary responsibilities will include supporting the General Counsel in the management of College contracts and assisting the
Assistant Vice President for Compliance and Title IX Coordinator in the operations of the Office of the General Counsel. The AGC will also
be called upon to provide legal support in the full array of areas handled by the OGC, such as academic and student affairs, litigation,
employment, College policies, governance, real estate, construction, intellectual property, and other non-legal issues. The AGC will also be
a thought partner to the General Counsel and with the other members of the OGC. The minimum annual salary for this position is $95,000.
