West Point Technical Services for the Varicella Bulk Integrated Product Team is seeking a highly motivated individual to partner with the Operations, Quality Operations, and Regulatory groups to meet the targeted supply and compliance initiatives within Biotechnology Manufacturing.- The Varicella Bulk Integrated Product Team Technology and Equipment expert includes troubleshooting facility and equipment issues, change management, project management and mentorship of junior employees. Specifically, you will be responsible for providing troubleshooting and technical support for processing equipment in a vaccine production area and becoming a technical expert on the electro-mechanical support required for the manufacture of these products.-The ideal candidate has good time management skills and is independently able to perform electro-mechanical and automation troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Troubleshoot electro-mechanical and automation issues related to manufacturing and laboratory process equipment
• Proficient with process control systems such as DeltaV, PLCs, BAS etc.
• Technical ownership / subject matter expert of the automated robot equipment, automated cell counters, processing skids and other manufacturing and laboratory equipment used for Varicella Bulk manufacturing
• On-the-floor support of technical studies, changes or supporting operations overcoming technical challenges
• Manage change control for assigned projects
• Identify and initiate process improvements in conjunction with the Project Engineering team
• Work with production, automation and project engineering groups on process improvement projects.
• Partnering with Equipment, Maintenance and Utilities Team to support monitoring and reliability including Risk Based Asset Management
• Continuous support and closure of actions to continuously improve the reliability of Varicella Bulk unit operations
• Proactive Equipment Monitoring of respective equipment in collaboration with process partners. Proficient in use of PI Vision, PI BatchView and other data analytic tools
• Aid Deviation Management Team with key equipment and technical concepts for incidents and investigations

Education Minimum Requirement: ––

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biological Science or other appropriate science or engineering field.

Required Experience and Skills: –

• B.S. degree in Engineering or Sciences
• Minimum 6 years post-bachelor’s degree experience in GMP manufacturing and/or technical support of GMP manufacturing operations (or M.S. degree plus 4 years; PhD degree plus 2 years).
• Highly developed communication, leadership and teamwork skills
• Ability to manage projects to schedule and budget
• Familiarity with Vaccine Manufacturing Operations
• Familiarity with cGMPs, CFR, and other appropriate regulations in relation to vaccine manufacturing

Preferred Experience and Skills:

• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a part of a team
• Strong technical problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills
• Strong collaboration and leadership skills.
• Familiarity or experience with aseptic Vaccine Manufacturing Operations
• Experience with introduction of process changes to a licensed process
