DESCRIPTION
Mendocino-Lake Community College District is currently accepting applications for a
full-time, Program Manger for the Native American Student Success and Support Program.
In hiring this position, preference shall be
given to qualified candidates of Native American or Alaska Native heritage in a manner similar to preference provided in the federal Indian
Preference Act of 1990.
Under general direction of appropriate supervisor, provides day-to-day management of the Native American
Student Success & Support Program (NASSSP). Coordinates program and grant activities, including student support initiatives, maintains
tribal relationships, fiscal coordination, grant compliance, and program evaluation.
This position is currently funded through June
2028, with the potential to be expanded and extended should additional grant funding be secured.
The anticipated start date
is mid October.
Interviews are anticipated to take place the week of September 11th.

SALARY AND BENEFITS
The starting salary
range is $83,561 – $87,739 annually. There are five annual step movements; initial placement will be at step 1, unless approved by the

Benefits: With NO monthly premium contribution from the employee, we offer a comprehensive
benefits package that includes family medical, dental, vision, EAP benefits and employee life insurance. Additional voluntary life insurance
is available for employee purchase. Benefits are effective the first of the month following hire date.
Holidays and Paid Time Off:
The successful candidate will earn twenty-one (21) days of vacation and twelve (12) days of sick leave per year. Vacation leave increases
with the length of service. There are paid (20) paid holidays annually.
Retirement: This position is eligible for CalPERS OR CalSTRS
Retirement.

Minimum Education and Experience:
A bachelor’s degree from a college or university accredited by a
regional accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education.
Sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse
academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
Desired Education and
Experience:
A master’s degree or higher from a college or university accredited by a regional accrediting agency recognized
by the United States Department of Education.
One-year experience working with tribal communities or affiliation with a tribal
nation.
LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE:
This classification requires the use of a personal vehicle while conducting
District business. Must possess a valid (Class C) California Driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
