Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant – Transplant ICU
Position Description:
The Medical College of Wisconsin and the Department of Surgery, Division of Transplant Surgery are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Transplant ICU Solid Organ Transplant services located in Milwaukee, WI at Froedtert Hospital.
The Division of Transplant Surgery provides abdominal organ transplantation at Froedtert Hospital and Children’s Wisconsin. The division also provides vascular access and general surgical services for patients with end-stage organ failure. The ongoing goals of the division are to provide state-of-the-art transplant-related services, laboratory and clinical research and teaching of residents and students.
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) works as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team who will contribute to excellence in program administration, patient care, patient safety, research, quality improvement, and teaching.
The Ideal Candidate is looking to begin or grow their career within a critical care setting who desires to be part of a thriving and very collaborative academic practice at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW). Areas of responsibility will include, but not be limited to providing direct patient care to patients within an Inpatient and/or OR setting.

Preferred Experience: Prior APP Transplant or Critical Care experience a plus
Minimum Education:
Advanced Practice Nurse: Master’s Degree or higher in Nursing
Physician Assistant: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Physician Assistant Studies
Minimum Requirements:

Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner Wisconsin Physician Assistant License
Wisconsin RN License Certification by NCCPA
Wisconsin Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber License AHA ACLS, AHA BLS, DEA
Certification as Acute Care NP preferred
Will consider Adult Care and/or Family Practice
AHA ACLS, AHA BLS, DEA
*CITI certification to be completed within 90 days of hire
