Position: Director of IT Operations
Reports to: SVP of Customer Care
Company Overview
Med One Group, a leader in the medical equipment industry, is seeking a Director of IT Operations. Med One is a multi-state operation with over 200 employees. We provide equipment solutions via financing options, long and short-term rental, sales, and support services. The IT department plays a critical role in providing technology support throughout the organization.
Summary
The Director of IT Operations manages Company’s information technology including access management, hardware and software management and support, compliance, web applications, and server resources. This position’s key responsibility is strategically ensuring the effective and appropriate rollout and support of technology to accomplish Med One’s data protection, compliance, and information processing objectives. This position advises leadership and management in other departments on technology use, technology risks, and appropriate technology investment. We are looking for someone who understands how to apply risk management principles to achieve cost-effective technology use that balances usability with good cybersecurity.
Essential Functions
Strategically reviews the complex business needs presented by employees/management and makes recommendations for technical solutions
Ensures the consistency and maintainability of existing processes by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions
Approves all business requirements prior to the technical solution
Authorize, procure, and manage hardware and software for Med One according to cybersecurity standards and performance objectives
Represents the IT function at management review meeting when appropriate
Directs education/training programs for her/his staff
Perform liaison duties between employees, operations, and programming personnel in the areas of systems design, modifications or trouble shooting
Performs salary administration and conducts interviews and makes recommendations for new hires, consultants and/or replacement personnel within the IT department
Must have a passionate drive for technology
Fluent in Mac OS, iOS, and Windows Operating Systems – SQL, Database knowledge a plus
Strong knowledge of networking technologies (Routing, VPN and DNS)
Responsible for infrastructure and data security
Self-motivated, forward thinking, and able to identify needs and fill them
Ability to work with other areas of the organization and leadership to identify and manage technology risk to an acceptable level
Define and communicate performance metrics for all services to leadership to ensure organizational accountability

Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or related experience
Minimum of eight (8) years of experience within information technology
Experience in the most current technologies and products used in the industry
AD, Microsoft 365 experience
Proven experience in policy development
Experience with system design and development from business requirements analysis through day-to-day management
Preferred Education and Experience
Master’s degree in relevant field.
