POSITION INFORMATION: This is a full-time, 9-month, unclassified, tenure-track
position. This appointment will potentially begin in August 2023.

POSITION DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: A faculty
member in the Graduate Nursing Degree Program has responsibilities that include, but are not limited to, teaching, university/community
service, and research/scholarly work. Specific duties include: implements University and College policies and procedures; implements the
program curricula; participates in curriculum and course planning, implementation, and evaluation; assists in evaluating clinical settings
and experiences related to course and student learning needs; evaluates the clinical competence of students fairly and objectively; serves
on University and College of Nursing and Health Professions committees; conducts scholarly activity appropriate to the discipline;
participates in professional activity which enhances the education mission of the college and contributes to the discipline; fosters
collegial relationships and respect for faculty, staff, and students, presents self as a positive and professional role model; participates
in community service.
REQUIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Required: Doctoral Degree in Nursing.
Current or eligible for unencumbered APRN licensure in the state of Louisiana and /or Texas. National certification as Psychiatric Mental
Health Nurse Practitioner (lifespan) Two years of clinical experience as a PMHNP.
Preferred:Consideration given if applicant
is near completion of doctorate from accredited institution. Experience in teaching is preferred. Preference given to those with online
course delivery experience.
