Job Description
McCoy’s Building Supply is looking for a Field Support Rep for our People Development (HR) Team. A Field Support Rep is an HR advisor and consultant for up to 15 assigned company facilities on business activities such as employee relations, hiring and recruiting, compensation and performance management.
The final candidate can office in our Headquarters location in San Marcos when not traveling, or may choose to live in a central area in the markets they support. Relocation assistance will be provided to the final candidate who wishes to move to either area.
The starting pay for this position is $50,000 annually and is a salaried position. This is an in-person HR position and is not eligible for 100% remote work in order to best support our employees working in our retail and manufacturing facilities.
Some of the duties and responsibilities for this position include the following:
- Make location visits to pulse-check and monitor employee morale, answer general and specific HR questions from store employees and provide recurring HR training to store management in areas such as company policies and procedures, interviewing/hiring, and performance management and development of their employees
- Responds to general HR questions from employees from the field for the purpose of providing information or direction, providing assistance in resolving and mediating minor employment issues or situations, and/or facilitate communication with store management
- Conducts investigations for certain employee relation issues in the field
- Answers incoming phone calls on cell phone, office phone, and/or HR Hotline phone line as required
- Processes unemployment claims and participates in hearings as necessary
- Scans ongoing employment records (both paper-based and digital records) in to digital personnel files, including documents such as corrective action forms, time off requests, unemployment claims, etc
