Mathnasium of Fargo Hiring for Math Instructor / Math Teacher Job at Fargo, ND Full Time

Mathnasium’s mission is to make math make sense to kids and, so doing, build their confidence and a deeper understanding of mathematics for a lifetime of success. Our learning centers provide mathematics tutoring from Kindergarten — High School. Through experienced and passionate math instructors using the Mathnasium Method (our proprietary teaching materials and tutoring techniques), we are building strength in numbers… one student at a time.

Instructors report to our Learning Center located right off of 32nd & 25th in south Fargo. There, they implement our team teaching method while working with up to 4 students at a time.

We are currently looking for candidates who can work some, if not all, of the following hours:

SCHOOL YEAR HOURS

(Hours may change slightly)

MON-FRI: 3PM – 8PM

SAT: 10AM – 2PM

Instructor Roles

• Teach through Mathnasium methodology and terminology, using prescribed teaching practices
• Interact with and motivate students during the instructional session
• Evaluate and document student progress
• Communicate student needs to the Center Director
• Assist in non-teaching tasks such as filling, curriculum building, and light housekeeping

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older
• Instructors must pass a written and oral quiz. Basic math facts and English proficiency.
• Instructors will be assessed for Math Comptency to teach specific grade levels and math topics.
• Teaching / tutoring experience preferred but not necessary
• Must pass background check. We work with kids!!
• We are looking for fun people who enjoy working with kids (K-12) and love math!
• Teaching math is only a small portion of what we do. We provide support and work to build confidence in our students. Our instructors love to work with people (kids in K – 12th grade, families, and of course fellow instructors) just as much as they love math!
