Lynchburg Redevelopment & Housing Authority (LRHA), an organization in the affordable housing industry, is seeking an Operations/HR Specialist.
The primary purpose of this position is to provide operational and administrative support to the Operations Manager and the Authority. Additionally, the Operations/HR Specialist will provide personnel-related support by maintaining personnel records, assisting with benefits administration, and other miscellaneous tasks.
The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational skills, strong customer service, demonstrate a willingness to learn, and enjoy working in a support role and assisting with a variety of tasks and projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Education/Experience:
Associate’s Degree in business administration, public administration, human resources management, or closely related field and three (3) years of administrative, operations, or HR support experience. Public sector, public housing, and/or nonprofit experience highly preferred. Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the Authority’s plan.
Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, and Outlook); must have the ability to learn other computer software programs as required by assigned tasks.
This is a full-time position that reports to the central office Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Benefits and Compensation: Starting hourly wage is between $16.00 and $20.00 per hour commensurate with experience and qualifications. LRHA offers a generous and comprehensive benefits package that includes retirement, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, paid time-off and holidays, among others.
