Role Overview
The Supply Chain team is seeking a Procurement Engineer, Senior Staff – Level 5
This member of our staff will Coordinate with Sourcing, Operations, Design Engineering, the Supply Base and Industry experts to facilitate the design, production, test and qualification of aerospace and defense products.
In this role, you will:
• Liaison between procurement teams and program / functions
• Interface with Program Management teams on performance of supply chain in support of their programs
• Analyzes, Investigates and recommends potential suppliers based on assessments of response to specifications, costs, inspection of facilities, and historical performance.
• Facilitate technical trade-offs and standardization that may lead to more economical procurement.
• Recommends design changes to mitigate production issues.
• Work with cross functional teams to remove roadblocks inhibiting procurements success
• Compile and analyze data in support of program execution.
• Analyze technical data, designs, preliminary specifications, manufacturing limitations, supplier facilities, and parts/equipment availability
• Manage internal relationships with Program
Management, functional leadership and technical leads, and procurement
• Identify program risks, issues, and opportunities related to procurement support
This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
You must be a US Citizen with an Active Interim Secret Clearance, to be considered for this role.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or 20 yrs of professional supply chain related experience
• Project or Program Management experience
• Process improvement experience, to include: Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) implementation, or similar
• Experience influencing decisions at the executive leadership level of external organizations
• Experience with briefing senior leadership on complex problem sets with concise and relevant information
Desired Skills:
• Aerospace and Defense industry engineering or operations experience
• Senior Staff Level Contracts or Subcontracts experience
• Cross-Functional or matrix organization structure team experience
• Leadership experience, to Lead teams of Supplier and Internal Staff in collaboratively solving problems in Producibility, Quality, Inspection, Cost, Mistake-Proofing, Test, Reliability and Affordability
• LSS Green Belt (or higher)
